Quetta : The Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) celebrated Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day with national fervor at its headquarters. The day began with special prayers in QESCO colony mosques for the country’s stability, progress, and prosperity.
The central ceremony, held at the QESCO headquarters, featured a flag-hoisting by Board of Directors member Mrs. Roshan Khurshid Bharucha, followed by the national anthem. The event was attended by fellow Board member Tahir Rasheed, Chief Engineer (Operations) Shaukat Ali Jogezai, Chief Engineer (CS) & Director General (HR & Admin) Mirza Aizaz Baig, Chief Engineer Muhammad Saifullah, Finance Director Mohsin Ehsan Mughal, Chief Engineer Syed Abdullah Shah, WAPDA Hospital Quetta MS Dr. Ulfat, as well as other officials, employees, and children.
Mrs. Bharucha congratulated the nation and QESCO staff on the occasion, paying tribute to the freedom fighters and martyrs, and urged everyone to work diligently for the prosperity of both the country and the company. DG (HR & Admin) Mirza Aizaz Baig called on all employees to commit to serving the nation, province, and QESCO with honesty and dedication. Special prayers were also offered for Pakistan’s stability and development.
