Patriotic Fervor Marks Independence Day Celebrations at Sibi

A grand and dignified ceremony was held at Circuit House Sibi in connection with Pakistan’s Independence Day. The event commenced with the national flag hoisting by Commissioner Sibi Division Asadullah Faiz, followed by a salute from a smartly turned-out police contingent. Scouts from Government Boys Model High School added a soulful touch to the ceremony by playing the national anthem.

The event saw the presence of Commandant Sibi Scouts Brigadier Umar Altaf, DIG Police Sibi Range Maroof Safdar Wahla, Deputy Commissioner Sibi Major (R) Ilyas Kibzai, SSP Sibi Akhtar Nawaz, officers from various departments, members of civil society, the Hindu community, teachers, students, and a large number of citizens.

Following the flag hoisting, the Education Department organized a vibrant cultural program featuring national songs, speeches, and tableaux presented by students. The event began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, adding a spiritual essence to the proceedings.

In his address, Commissioner Asadullah Faiz likened the state of Pakistan to caring parents, always striving for the welfare of its citizens. He emphasized the need to shun despair and remember the sacrifices of the martyrs who laid down their lives for the country’s sovereignty. He called upon everyone to commit themselves to the progress and prosperity of Pakistan, pledging to honor the identity and dignity of the nation through collective efforts.

A touching moment occurred when a young student, Muskan, performed the patriotic song “Pakistan Zindabad,” receiving overwhelming appreciation from the audience. Commissioner Faiz announced that he would bear all her educational expenses as a token of encouragement.

He further announced a cash reward of Rs. 50,000 for the students who participated in the performances.

Concluding the ceremony, Commissioner Faiz urged the citizens to unite for the development, prosperity, and stability of Pakistan and to always be ready to defend its integrity.

The event was a key part of Sibi’s Independence Day celebrations and significantly strengthened the patriotic spirit among the people. Participants lauded the district administration, particularly Deputy Commissioner Major (R) Ilyas Kibzai, for organizing such well-coordinated and heartfelt celebrations.

Security, electricity, cleanliness, and other administrative arrangements at the district level were highly commendable. The ceremony concluded with an Independence Day rally led by Deputy Commissioner Kibzai, in which a large number of citizens participated enthusiastically, waving national flags and chanting passionate slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad.”
