WWF Celebrates Independence Day with Flag Hoisting and Solidarity Walk

Islamabad: Under the leadership of the Secretary Workers Welfare Fund (WWF), a grand and dignified ceremony was held to mark the occasion of Marka-e-Haq Independence Day, featuring flag hoisting, cake cutting, and a solidarity walk. The event celebrated patriotism, national unity, and the unwavering commitment to Pakistan’s Armed Forces. The ceremony was graced by Brigadier Muhammad Waqas as the Chief Guest, who, along with WWF officials, staff, and distinguished guests, paid tribute to the everlasting sacrifices made for the independence of the motherland. The proceedings commenced with the hoisting of the national flag. This was immediately followed by a cake cutting ceremony, symbolizing unity, joy, and national pride. On this occasion, participants renewed their resolve to continue playing an active role in the welfare of industrial workers and the development of Pakistan. In his address, Secretary WWF Zulfiqar Ahmed paid rich tribute to the Founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, stating: “The freedom we celebrate today is a priceless gift from Almighty Allah, earned through the unparalleled sacrifices and tireless struggle of our forefathers. He said, If this country exists, we all exist.” He further said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Marka-e-Haq’s victory is a proud moment, and Field Marshal General Asim Munir deserves the highest praise. He reaffirmed that the entire staff of WWF and industrial workers, under the leadership of Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Chaudhry Salik Hussain and Federal Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry, stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the Pakistan Army. Speaking on the occasion, Brigadier Muhammad Waqas also paid glowing tribute to Field Marshal Asim Munir for the historic victory in the Battle of Bayanan-um-Marsoos. He commended the tireless efforts and excellent arrangements of WWF, calling the Independence Day celebration a source of national pride, and congratulated the Secretary WWF for its successful organization. The celebrations concluded with a solidarity walk from the WWF Secretariat, aimed at honoring the sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces and highlighting their unforgettable role in safeguarding the sovereignty of the nation.
