Loralai :In collaboration with PEEF and under the supervision of MNFS&R Islamabad, the University of Loralai, Balochistan, has launched a capacity-building training program focused on olive nursery development, machinery maintenance, and value chain enhancement. This initiative is a significant step toward addressing the skill gap in the olive sector, improving the socioeconomic conditions of farmers, creating job opportunities for youth, and promoting the olive business in Pakistan.
The opening ceremony was graced by the honorable Vice Chancellor of the University of Loralai, Prof. Dr. Ehsanullah Kakar, as the chief guest. The session was also attended by Dr. Khair Mohammed Kakar, Director General of the Pakistan Oilseed Department, MNFS&R, and Syed Abid Ali Bukhari from the Italian Project. Dr. Khair Mohammed Kakar emphasized the importance of trained human resources and the role of government collaboration in advancing economic growth through the olive industry in Pakistan.
