Chinese Consulate Scholarships Awarded to 39 University of Gwadar Students

Gwadar : University of Gwadar distributed scholarship award letters to 39 students selected under Phase II of the Chinese Consulate General Scholarship programme during a ceremony held at the university’s seminar hall.

The scholarships, funded by the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China, will cover full tuition fees for four years, enabling deserving students to continue higher education without financial constraints.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir and Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Syed Manzoor Ahmed jointly distributed the award letters among the students.

Addressing the ceremony, Prof. Sabir congratulated the scholarship recipients and urged them to utilise the opportunity with dedication, discipline and academic excellence. He said such initiatives were vital in removing financial barriers and preparing future leaders capable of contributing to the development of Gwadar, Balochistan and the country.

He also thanked the Chinese Consulate General for supporting educational initiatives in the region, describing the programme as a reflection of the longstanding friendship and partnership between Pakistan and China.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Manzoor Ahmed expressed gratitude to Yang Yundong for continued cooperation in promoting educational development in Balochistan. He said the university hoped such collaborations and financial assistance would continue in the future to help students from Gwadar and other parts of the province pursue quality education.

The ceremony was attended by Registrar Dr. Dolat Khan, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad, Director ORIC Dr. Muhammad Irshad, faculty members, administrative staff and students.

The event was moderated by Director Financial Aid Ubaid Ali.
