TURBAT: A four-day “Jashn-e-Baharan Festival”, organised by the district administration under the vision of Mir Sarfraz Bugti, concluded in Turbat after attracting large crowds and promoting sports, culture and social harmony.
Held from April 28 to May 1, the festival featured a range of sports competitions, cultural programmes and family-oriented activities aimed at encouraging positive engagement among youth and highlighting the region’s cultural heritage.
People from different walks of life, including families, children and young people, participated enthusiastically in the event, creating a festive atmosphere across the city.
Football, volleyball and cricket competitions were among the major attractions of the festival, with local players and teams displaying impressive performances. Football matches drew significant public attention, while volleyball and cricket contests also received an enthusiastic response from spectators.
The festival also included cultural activities showcasing local traditions and regional identity, which organisers said helped strengthen connections between the younger generation and their cultural heritage.
A peaceful and family-friendly environment prevailed throughout the event, with participants expressing appreciation for the recreational and cultural opportunities provided by the district administration.
Officials said such activities were important for promoting healthy entertainment, social cohesion and constructive engagement among youth. They added that similar events would continue to be organised in the future to provide more opportunities for sports, cultural expression and community interaction in the region.
