ZIARAT: In a first for Balochistan, a dedicated Tourism Police Unit has been established in Ziarat to safeguard tourists and promote local tourism.
SP Ziarat Sardar Ayaz Khan Musakhel said the unit will help visitors resolve issues, provide timely information, and project a positive image of the province.
The team includes 28 trained officers, six of whom are women. A facilitation centre at Ziarat’s main entrance offers details on accommodation, food, travel routes, and essential services. A dedicated tourist helpline (0833-560207) has also been launched.
Ziarat, known for the Quaid-e-Azam Residency, vast juniper forests, snowfall, and scenic beauty, is expected to benefit from the initiative, which aims to make the city a secure and well-organized tourist destination.
