The 78th Independence Day was celebrated in Nokkundi with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. On the directives of MPA Chagai and former Senate Chairman Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, as well as former Advisor to the Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Ejaz Khan Sanjrani, colorful festivities were organized under the leadership of District Chairman Abdul Wadood Khan Sanjrani at the Khan Muhammad Umar Sanjrani Football Stadium.
The celebration featured a cake-cutting ceremony attended by Brigadier Amir Khalil of Taftan Rifles, Deputy Commandant Faisal Sharif, tribal elders, and a large number of citizens. Local singers enthralled the audience with patriotic songs and performances, while District Chairman Abdul Wadood Khan Sanjrani and Brigadier Amir Khalil performed the traditional Balochi chaap dance to the beat of the Balochi drum, adding to the festive spirit.
On the occasion of Independence Day, a futsal tournament was also organized under the banner of the Khan Sanjrani Panel, with participation from various football clubs. The final match between Youth Football Club and Khan Muhammad Umar Sanjrani Club ended in a 2–2 draw in regular time. Through penalty kicks, Khan Muhammad Umar Sanjrani Club emerged victorious.
Similarly, the FC Balochistan South–sponsored Al Chagai Taftan Rifles Independence Day Football Tournament was won by Shaheed Bor Jan Club. The closing ceremonies of both tournaments were attended by District Chairman Abdul Wadood Khan Sanjrani and Brigadier Amir Khalil, who presented trophies and cash prizes to the winning and runner-up teams.
Addressing the event, Brigadier Amir Khalil said that the nation must value its independence. He extended his congratulations to the people of Nokkundi and the country on Independence Day, adding that the Baloch nation is a brave and talented people who have proven their abilities in every field.
