Quetta: BNP (Awami) central leader and patron-in-chief of Nashnas Group of Publishers, Dr. Nashnas Lehri, hosted a dinner at his residence in honor of the office bearers and members of the Action Committee of Balochistan’s Newspaper Industry. The event was attended by key political figures including Professor Haleem Sadiq, Provincial General Secretary of Awam Pakistan Party, and JUI senior leader Farooq Langove.
Dr. Nashnas Lehri said the purpose of the gathering was to encourage and strengthen unity among stakeholders in the newspaper industry, especially in light of recent challenges. He praised the committee’s symbolic 86-day protest camp, highlighting it as evidence of dedication and sincerity within the industry.
Professor Haleem Sadiq emphasized that perseverance and sincerity are essential to any struggle, while Farooq Langove stressed the need for a united platform to address the crisis facing print media in Balochistan.
General Secretary of the Action Committee, Murtaza Tareen, thanked Dr. Lehri for the recognition and praised senior journalists like Raza ur Rehman, Haji Khalil Ahmed, Nadir Hussain Zamarrud, and Naseer Khan Kakar for their vital roles. He also commended the Nashnas Group’s continued support for press freedom and industry reform.
