Iran-Pakistan Economic Dialogue in Isfahan Highlights Trade and Investment Cooperation

Isfahan, : A high-level business meeting was held in the Iranian city of Isfahan, reaffirming the commitment of Iran and Pakistan to strengthen bilateral cooperation in trade and investment.

Addressing the session, Advisor to Iran’s Foreign Ministry Ali raza Rajai emphasized that the historical and cultural ties between the two neighboring countries are a valuable asset that can bring them even closer. He noted that Isfahan and Lahore, as sister cities, hold vast potential for expanded collaboration in economic, commercial, cultural, academic, and tourism sectors.

“Our people’s longstanding relationship should form the foundation of deeper cooperation,” Rajai said. “Cultural exchange and sports diplomacy can also serve as effective tools to enhance bilateral ties.”

The session was attended by over 100 business leaders, senior officials, and chamber representatives from both countries. Discussions focused on joint ventures and practical steps to enhance mutual trade and investment. Notable attendees included President of the Balochistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Pakistan) Muhammad Ayub Mariani, President of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce Mr. Keshati, Vice President for International Affairs Mr. Ebrahimi, as well as Mr. Dashti and Mr. Mohammad Reza Khan.

In his address, Muhammad Ayub Mariani stressed the need for both nations to fully utilize available trade and investment opportunities to further strengthen economic relations. “Joint cooperation and investment are essential for the development of the region,” he remarked.

Participants agreed on the importance of enhancing connections between private sectors and government bodies in both countries and leveraging regional capacities to boost economic cooperation to new heights.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Dezfouli emphasized that consistent communication among business communities and making use of current opportunities are vital steps toward achieving joint trade, investment, and economic growth.

This special session was organized with the aim of assessing economic opportunities and challenges between Isfahan and Pakistan, identifying new paths for mutual collaboration, and laying out actionable measures to enhance bilateral trade relations.

The meeting concluded with a shared understanding that leveraging the countries’ shared history and regional strengths could unlock long-term economic benefits for both sides.
