In celebration of Pakistan’s Independence Day, a grand ceremony was held at Government Model High School Kohlu. Deputy Commissioner Kohlu, Azeem Jan Dumar, was the chief guest, joined by District Police Chief SP Muhammad Sharif, Levies Risaldar Major Sher Muhammad Marri, government officials, tribal and political elders, teachers, parents, and a large number of students.
The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and a Naat, followed by the national anthem. Students delivered powerful speeches, sang patriotic songs, and presented colorful tableaux highlighting the importance of freedom, sacrifices of forefathers, and Pakistan’s bright future — all of which were warmly applauded by the audience.
In his address, DC Azeem Jan Dumar stated that August 14 is not just a date but a symbol of national identity and sacrifice. He emphasized the role of unity and education in national development and called on everyone to play their part in Pakistan’s progress and stability.
SP Muhammad Sharif underscored the value of youth as the nation’s greatest asset, urging them to embrace patriotism, education, and a spirit of national service. He also stressed the importance of law, unity, and peace for a progressive society.
The ceremony concluded with prize and certificate distribution among students who excelled in various competitions. The entire school echoed with chants of “Pakistan Zindabad,” creating an atmosphere filled with patriotic passion.
