TEHRAN: Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of the Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir arrived in Tehran on Friday as part of ongoing mediation efforts, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
In a statement, the ISPR said the army chief’s visit is aimed at facilitating diplomatic engagement and efforts to help bring an end to tensions involving Iran and the United States.
On arrival, Field Marshal Asim Munir was received and warmly welcomed by Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni.
The visit comes amid Pakistan’s continued diplomatic outreach aimed at supporting regional stability and maintaining communication channels between relevant stakeholders.
