NOK KUNDI: Former adviser to the chief minister of Balochistan Mir Ejaz Khan Sanjrani visited different sites identified under the Nok Kundi Master Plan and reviewed the GPS survey and demarcation work being carried out for the construction of a modern sports complex and widening of major roads in the town.

Engineers and consultants briefed him on the ongoing survey, proposed development schemes and the urban planning strategy aimed at transforming Nok Kundi into a modern and organised city. Tribal elders, political and social figures, and members of the Khan Panel were also present on the occasion.

Talking to reporters, Mr Sanjrani said the completion of the Nok Kundi Master Plan would help place the town among the modern urban centres of Balochistan.

He said the project envisaged the construction of a commercial market, wide roads, a sports complex, family parks, a bus terminal and an improved traffic management system to provide better civic facilities to residents.

Mr Sanjrani said the master plan had been prepared while taking into account the long-standing urban issues faced by the town, adding that the initiative aimed at ensuring sustainable development and providing future generations with a clean and organised urban environment.

He said the proposed sports complex would promote healthy activities among youth and help encourage local sporting talent, while expansion of roads would ease traffic congestion, improve transportation and strengthen commercial activities in the area.

Local tribal and social elders welcomed the initiative and expressed the hope that timely completion of the master plan would improve the town’s infrastructure, beauty and economic prospects.
