LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Sunday paid tribute to Lady Constable Shakeela, who embraced martyrdom in a targeted terrorist attack in Turbat, saying the nation was proud of her services and sacrifice.
In a statement, the chief minister expressed profound grief over the killing of the Balochistan policewoman and offered condolences to the bereaved family.
She also prayed for the early recovery of Shakeela’s husband and son, who were injured in the attack.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif described the slain constable as a brave daughter of Balochistan and said her sacrifice in the line of duty would be remembered with honour.
