Quetta: Heavy rains and flash floods have wreaked havoc in the Qila Saifullah district of Balochistan, destroying two villages and leaving many residents without shelter. As a result, a large number of people were forced to spend the night under the open sky and have urgently requested government aid.
Officials confirmed that one person lost his life due to the floods. The storm and floodwaters severely impacted the villages of Killi Ali Khail and Busokhail, where several houses collapsed or were left uninhabitable.
Deputy Commissioner Qila Saifullah, Saeed Dummar, reported that multiple houses were destroyed, and a man named Ikram Ullah, drowned in the floodwaters.
The affected residents have demanded immediate relief supplies and tents from the government. In response, the Deputy Commissioner stated that two relief camps have been established in Killi Ali Khail and Killi Nawab Ayaz, where the district administration and PDMA are providing food and other necessities to the displaced people.
