JAFFARABAD: Government Girls High School Bhatti Mohalla in Jaffarabad is facing a severe shortage of classrooms and basic facilities, forcing hundreds of students to continue their education under difficult conditions.

According to local sources, due to a lack of classrooms in both primary and high sections, many students are studying under the open sky in extreme heat, while others are confined to overcrowded and poorly ventilated rooms without electricity.

Parents said the absence of fans, clean drinking water, furniture and proper learning spaces was affecting the physical and mental health of students, many of whom return home exhausted and unwell.

They expressed concern that in the modern era, girls in Jaffarabad were still deprived of basic educational facilities, questioning how students could pursue professional careers such as doctors, lawyers, engineers or judges in such conditions.

Residents and parents have urged Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Education Minister Raheela Durrani, the education secretary and other relevant authorities to take immediate notice of the issue.

They demanded construction of additional classrooms and provision of electricity, clean water, fans, furniture and other essential facilities to ensure a safe and better learning environment for students.

Locals warned that if urgent steps were not taken, the educational future of the students could be seriously affected.
