PTCL, Ufone win eight Effie Awards, named Marketer of the Year

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) and Ufone have won eight awards at the Effie Awards 2026, including three gold, two silver and three bronze honours, while also securing the title of “Effective Marketer of the Year 2025-26”.

The companies said the recognition reflected their strong performance in marketing campaigns focused on measurable business results, creativity and customer engagement.

Among the major wins, Ufone’s flagship campaign “Data Bohat Hai” won a gold award in the internet and telecom category, while “Babar Ka Phone Gum Hogaya” received gold in the social media services category. The “Sohni Mahiwal” campaign secured a silver award.

Other notable awards included gold for “Hockey Hai Pakistan Ki Shaan” in the Passion for Pakistan category, silver for “Dil Se Ba Ikhtiyar” in the Positive Change — Social Good category, and bronze awards for UPaisa, the Peshawar Zalmi-Ufone partnership, and PTCL-Ufone’s social impact platform “Dil Se”.

Effie Awards are regarded globally as a benchmark for effective marketing and recognise campaigns that deliver strong business impact through strategy, execution and innovation.

PTCL and Ufone said the achievement reinforced their position as leading telecom and digital service providers with a strong focus on meaningful brand engagement and social impact.
