Zardari Meets Balochistan Parliamentarians, Reviews Political Situation

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday met members of parliament from Balochistan and discussed the overall political situation in the province as well as ongoing development projects.

During the meeting, the president reiterated the government’s resolve to counter what he described as “foreign-backed terrorist elements” and said efforts for peace and development in Balochistan were continuing “with full force.”

He said stability and progress in the province remained a key national priority, and stressed the need for sustained engagement on security and development-related issues.

A large number of parliamentarians, including Sardar Muhammad Umar Gorgaij, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Bilal Mandokhel, Hasna Bano, Nawabzada Jamal Raisani and Malik Shah Gorgaij, attended the meeting.

Others present included Zahoor Buledi, Faisal Jamali, Bakht Kakar, Ali Madad Jatak, Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, Sadiq Umrani, Asfandyar Kakar, Sanjay Kumar, Mir Asghar Rind, Ghazala Gola and several others.
