QUETTA: The Quetta Electric Supply Company (Qesco) has announced scheduled power outages in various parts of Quetta and other districts due to development projects, installation of electricity poles, shifting of power lines, and maintenance work under the Public Sector Development Programme.
According to a Qesco statement, power supply from the 11kV Khrootabad, Jabal Noor, Western Bypass, Dosti, and Darim feeders of Sheikhmanda Grid Station will remain suspended on April 28 from 10:30am to 2:30pm.
On April 28 and 30, electricity supply from the Sarki Road, Ghazi, Hazara Town and Industrial feeders of Sariab Grid Station will remain suspended daily from 10am to 2pm.
Similarly, on April 29, power supply from the GOR Colony feeder of Quetta City Grid Station and Sariab One, Sariab Two, WASA, Samungli Express, A-One City and Jarsa feeders of Sariab Grid Station will remain suspended from 10am to 2pm.
On April 30, electricity from the Shahbaz Town feeder of Quetta City Grid Station will remain unavailable from 10am to 2pm, while power supply from the Nawan Killi Bypass, Zarghoon One, Zarghoon Two and Sahibzada feeders of Zarghoon Grid Station, along with Shamozai, FGS, WASA, Shanawaz, Sariab Mill and Old and New Mian Ghundi feeders of Industrial Grid Station, will remain suspended from 11am to 3pm.
Qesco also said repair and testing work was being carried out at different grid stations and transmission lines. In this regard, power supply from feeders connected to the power transformers of Qila Abdullah Grid Station will remain suspended on April 28 from 10am to 4pm, while electricity from City One, Pir Ghaib and Pandran feeders of Kalat Grid Station will remain unavailable from 12pm to 5pm.
The company apologised to consumers for the inconvenience and requested their cooperation during the scheduled shutdowns.
