Chinese Experts Conclude Training Programme at Saindak Project

QUETTA, : A China–Pakistan virtual symposium marked the conclusion of a year-long technical training program aimed at enhancing the skills of Pakistani employees at KMCL project sites in Saindak and Siah Dik, along with a farewell for Chinese instructors Liu Guangyuan and Wang Fengjie.

The instructors, deputed by partner institutions, focused on transferring technical expertise, strengthening operational independence, and developing a skilled local workforce. Officials said the program emphasized practical, on-site training at power systems and maintenance workshops, enabling employees to progress from basic troubleshooting to independently managing technical tasks.

In addition to technical capacity, the initiative improved communication between Pakistani staff and Chinese engineers, allowing employees to identify issues promptly and engage in solution-oriented discussions. The program also reinforced safety standards and adherence to operational procedures in mining activities.

Officials noted that the initiative has enhanced career prospects and earning potential for local employees, contributing to improved living standards in surrounding communities.

Speaking at the symposium, KMCL Chairman Zhang Zhijun highlighted the importance of human resource development under CPEC, stating that such efforts aim to localize expertise and build a sustainable, skilled Pakistani workforce. The event concluded with participants expressing appreciation for the instructors’ contributions.
