CASS Holds Roundtable on Air and Aerospace Power Dynamics

ISLAMABAD: The Centre for Aerospace & Security Studies (CASS) held a Roundtable Conference on “Psychological & Strategic Layers of Air & Aerospace Power” on 23 October 2025, bringing together senior practitioners and scholars to discuss how doctrine, leadership, and emerging technologies like AI, space systems, and electronic warfare are reshaping power dynamics in South Asia.

Moderating the session, Air Vice Marshal Nasser ul Haq Wyne (Retd), Director CASS, highlighted that modern air and aerospace operations demand not just technology, but also doctrinal clarity and psychological readiness.

In his keynote, Air Marshal Zulfiqar Ahmed Qureshi (Retd), President of the Centre for Character & Leadership Development, underscored that true aerospace advantage lies in leadership, training, and strategy—enhanced by domains such as cyber, space, and AI.

Air Marshal Farooq Habib (Retd), former Director CASS, examined the psychological dimensions of modern warfare, urging resilience training for leaders and greater public awareness against adversarial information operations.

Concluding the event, Air Marshal Javaid Ahmed (Retd), President CASS, emphasized that as warfare extends into cyber, space, and information domains, psychological deterrence is becoming as crucial as technological capability. He reaffirmed CASS’s commitment to fostering strategic thought for Pakistan’s national security.
