A grand Independence Day celebration was held at the FC Auditorium Hall in Kohlu, attended by government officials, tribal elders, students, and a large number of citizens. The event was graced by Commandant Maiwand Brigade, Colonel Farooq Ashraf, as the chief guest.

The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by a Naat. Students warmly welcomed the guests and presented powerful tableaux highlighting Pakistan’s independence, the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam, and the sacrifices that led to the nation’s creation.

A special documentary on the sacrifices of martyrs deeply moved the audience. Students delivered passionate speeches emphasizing patriotism, unity, and the spirit of sacrifice, while speakers highlighted the critical role of youth in shaping the nation’s future.

The event showcased the rich culture of Balochistan and included a special segment on Pashto culture, adding a vibrant and traditional touch to the celebration.

Deputy Commissioner Kohlu, Azeem Jan Dumar, in his address, stressed that Pakistan’s independence is not just a historical event but a lesson for the youth — teaching that hard work, sacrifice, and love for the nation are key to real progress. He encouraged students to contribute to nation-building through education and responsible citizenship. He also announced a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 for Malik Abdul Raheem for stall decoration and Rs. 40,000 for the FC School administration to recognize their contributions to the celebrations.
