Quetta : Awami National Party’s Provincial Secretary for Literature and Culture, Hazrat Ali Achakzai, paid tribute to the martyrs of August, stating that their eternal sacrifices have ensured that national politics, language, literature, culture, and honor will remain alive and esteemed until the end of time. These devoted martyrs sacrificed their present for the bright future of the nation, and their invaluable sacrifices are a source of immense pride, he expressed these view s while talking to our correspondent.
Achakzai emphasized that living nations always commemorate their martyrs with great pride, enthusiasm, and fervor. He noted that history bears witness to the followers of Bacha Khan Baba, who faced martyrdom, imprisonment, and all forms of hardships with a smile, standing like mountains against oppression and tyranny, challenging the despotic rulers, and always rescuing the country and nation from quagmires.
He highlighted that the Awami National Party has always preferred martyrdom over submission, with clear examples from the martyrs of Babra to the martyr of the homeland, Haji Jalani Khan, martyr Asad Khan, martyr Askar Khan, and including the martyrs of August 8 and Shaheed Khaliqdad Babra. These known and unknown martyrs sacrificed their lives for Pashtoon and Afghan honor, national determination and independence, and the liberation of the oppressed people from tyranny and exploitation.
Achakzai urged the nation to honor these benefactors by participating in the public gatherings organized by the Awami National Party to commemorate the martyrs on August 8 in Chaman, August 16 in Harnai, and August 26 in Quetta.
