Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti announced the creation of a new faculty at Government Girls Postgraduate College, Quetta, in honor of the martyred Professor Nazima Talib. The announcement was made during the college’s first BS convocation.
In addition to the new faculty, Chief Minister announced to provide 500 laptops to the college’s teaching staff and students.
In his address, CM Bugti highlighted the essential role of women’s education in societal progress and commended the contributions of female officials in Balochistan. He also introduced the Benazir Bhutto Scholarship Program, which will cover educational expenses for top-performing students and provide fully-funded PhD scholarships at 200 global universities.
CM Bugti praised retiring Principal Professor Raheela Ramzan for her significant role in promoting education in Balochistan.
On this occassion Professor Raheela Ramzan said that this convocation marks the first time in the college’s 70-year history that BS degrees are being awarded at the college level.
