Quetta : In a bid to promote sports and provide opportunities for athletes, the Balochistan government has announced the Shuhada-e-Watan Football Tournament and Jashn-e-Sariab festival. Director General Sports Balochistan, Dr. Yasir Bazai, stated that the government is committed to supporting sports and encouraging youth to engage in positive activities.
The Shuhada-e-Watan Football Tournament will be held in Ziarat from September 9 to 16, featuring 12 teams, including 8 divisional teams that excelled in the 14th August Football Tournament. The tournament will be played on a league basis, with the top teams advancing to the semi-finals. The grand final will be held on September 16 in Ziarat, with Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Khan Bugti, and other dignitaries in attendance.
The Jashn-e-Sariab festival will take place from September 30 to October 6, showcasing the province’s rich cultural heritage. The festival will feature various events, including music performances, traditional dance, and a food festival.
Director General Sports Balochistan emphasized that the government is dedicated to providing a platform for athletes to showcase their talent and promoting sports in the province. He added that the government will continue to support and organize such events to encourage youth participation in sports and foster a sense of community and competition.
The Shuhada-e-Watan Football Tournament and Jashn-e-Sirab festival are testaments to the Balochistan government’s commitment to promoting sports and culture. By supporting such events, the government aims to provide opportunities for athletes, preserve cultural heritage, and promote a positive image of the province.
