Dylan Sprouse has shared a surprising story about his time on Disney Channel and the amount he received has left many people shocked.
The actor spent years playing Zack Martin in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody but he says the only extra payment he remembers getting from the show was just five cents.
Dylan spoke about this on his Wildmen podcast, where he was joined by his former co-star Phill Lewis.
The two actors looked back at their days on the show and talked about what happened behind the scenes.
During their chat, Dylan explained that the five cent payment came from a special episode that also featured characters from Hannah Montana. Even though The Suite Life was a big hit and was shown in many countries, he says he never received another payment like that.
The show, however, first came out in 2005 and ended in 2008. Its next series The Suite Life on Deck continued until 2011.
Both shows together got around 190 episodes.
Phill also spoke about how Disney dealt with actors’ pay at the time. But the conversation was not only about money. Dylan praised Phill for always being there for him and called him a second father figure.
