NAB Balochistan Holds public Hearing to Strengthen Accountability and Combat Corruption

Quetta: On August 29, 2024, the National Accountability Bureau (Balochistan)
arranged a public hearing as per vision and directions of the Chairman NAB. It was
organized in NAB Complaint Cell, located in the DC Office Anscomb Road Quetta.
Mr. Nauman Aslam, Director General NAB, personally responded to the
complainants. This event highlighted the NAB's unwavering commitment to
accountability, openness, and public participation in the fight against corruption. It
facilitates direct communication between the general public and NAB officials,
increasing accountability, transparency, and systemic confidence.

DG NAB (B) urged the general people to come forward and report
cases of corruption. During the session, the complainants filed complaints
regarding their grievances pertaining to land revenue matters and other issues. DG
NAB issued directives on the complaints falling under the NAB's jurisdiction,
demonstrating a commitment to speedy and decisive anti-corruption measures. He
also suggested appropriate forums to the complainants for those complaints which
do not fall under the purview of NAB. This proactive approach sends a clear
message that corruption will not be tolerated and that concrete measures are
being taken to combat it.

By organizing these open sessions, the NAB is committed to
eradicating corruption from society as well as motivating the general public to
speak out against evil and work together to combat corruption. Collaborative
efforts between NAB and the community are essential in combating corruption and
this initiative is a step in the right direction.
