KURRAM: Clashes between two tribes in Kurram district over a land dispute have entered their fifth day, with the death toll rising to 27 and over 150 injured.
The fighting, which has been ongoing in five different locations across the district, continues unabated. Both sides are reportedly using heavy weaponry, including missiles, targeting the cities of Parachinar and Sadda.
Police have confirmed that the clashes began over a land dispute and have resulted in heavy gunfire and missile attacks. Despite the heavy casualties and ongoing violence, police and security forces remain deployed in the affected areas.
Local residents have expressed frustration with the lack of action from authorities, accusing them of being mere spectators. They claim that the police, administration, security forces, and tribal elders have failed to establish a ceasefire.
