RAWALPINDI: PTI founder Imran Khan, during a hearing at Adiala Jail, ordered the removal of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and nominated Sohail Afridi as his replacement. The decision was confirmed by PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja.
Following the directive, Gandapur submitted his resignation to the Governor, stating that the chief minister’s office was a trust from Imran Khan, which he was returning upon his leader’s instruction.
In his resignation, Gandapur highlighted achievements during his 1.5-year tenure, including stabilizing the province’s finances and initiating major development projects despite challenges like terrorism. He pledged full support to the incoming chief minister, reaffirming his loyalty to PTI and Imran Khan.
