NORTH WAZIRISTAN : Security forces killed the highly wanted terrorist leader Umar alisa Jan Mir, along with four other
militants during an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan.
The operation was conducted in Spinwarm area with sources stating that the bounty on Umar’s head was set at Rs3 million.
Sources stated that Umar was a mastermind behind multiple attacks on security forces and civilians. He had set up underground
bunkers, tunnels, and explosive traps near Bobali Mosque in Spinwam.
Experts said the elimination of the extremist leader will restore peace in the area and is a significant blow to the “Fitanah-ul-Khawarij” terrorist network. The operation continues under Operation Azm-e-Istehkam against terrorist in the country.
