Quetta,:Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, asserted that anti-state forces are attempting to create a rift between the state and its citizens, particularly targeting Balochistan. He emphasized that a specific group is using propaganda to weaken the state, but the provincial government is determined to eliminate all such conspiracies and elements.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the All Balochistan Independence Day Shooting Championship, which was attended by provincial ministers, assembly members, and senior officials, CM Bugti expressed pride in how Independence Day celebrations are being enthusiastically observed across Balochistan. He highlighted that rifle shooting has long been a cultural sport among Baloch, Pashtun, and local tribes but had been neglected for some time. Recognizing the need to revive this sport, he congratulated the organizers for conducting the championship in such a short time with great success.

CM Bugti pointed out that promoting sports can help counter extremist behaviors and noted that anti-state forces are active on three fronts in Balochistan, including the misuse of social media. He criticized the spread of false narratives and propaganda through social media to create divisions between the state and the youth, stressing the need for positive use of social media, legislation, and exposing the truth behind baseless propaganda.

The Chief Minister vowed to crush all elements attempting to create divisions between the state and the youth, whether from the mountains or through social media. He emphasized that the people of Balochistan are patriotic and that all conspiracies against the state will fail. CM Bugti also remarked that the Baloch people have been an integral part of the democratic process, with some even reaching the highest office in the country, and reiterated their commitment to Pakistan’s unity and sovereignty, saying they are willing to sacrifice for the nation’s integrity. The ceremony concluded with the Chief Minister presenting awards to the winners of the rifle shooting championship.
