QUETTA: The Quetta Electric Supply Company (Qesco) has announced scheduled electricity outages in several areas of Quetta and Chaman due to development works, installation of electricity poles and shifting of power lines under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).
According to a Qesco statement, on April 21, power supply from Quetta City Grid Station’s 11kV Nawan Killi, Alam Khan, Old Sariab, Interconnector and Malik feeders, as well as Sheikh Manda Grid Station’s 11kV Western Bypass, Jabal Noor, Dosteen, Darim and Khurotabad feeders, will remain suspended from 10:30am to 2:30pm.
On April 22, electricity supply from Quetta City Grid Station’s 11kV Malik Plant and GOR Colony feeders, along with Sariab Grid Station’s 11kV Joint Road, Khair Bakhsh Marri and Old Liaquat Bazaar feeders, will remain suspended from 10am to 2pm.
On the same day, power supply from Sheikh Manda Grid Station’s 11kV Airport Road, Chashma, Adyan, Takatu, Umar and WASA feeders will remain unavailable from 10:30am to 2:30pm.
Meanwhile, due to pole installation and line shifting for the expansion of the Kuchlak–Chaman highway, electricity supply from Chaman Grid Station’s 11kV Guldar Baghicha, FC Chaman, New Abadi, Mehmoodabad, Sui Karez and City Bypass feeders will remain suspended daily from April 21 to April 30 between 10am and 6pm.
Additionally, power supply from Chaman Grid Station’s 11kV NLC Chaman and Mardi Karez feeders will remain suspended on April 21 and 22 from 10am to 6pm.
Qesco apologised for the inconvenience caused and appealed to consumers for cooperation during the scheduled shutdowns.
